Facial fat grafting is a must do when facial fat loss is causing aging around the eyes.
The fat is taken from anywhere in the body, usually from the belly or thighs. I prepare the fat as the patient’s own filler and then inject it.
Common places for injection around the eyes are:
- lower eyelids (lid/cheek junction)
- lupper eyelids
- ltemples
- lforehead
- lcheeks
It can be done awake under local anesthesia or asleep.
In my opinion fat grafting is the best filler we have because it also rejuvenates the skin over time.
