Is it common to have fat grafting with eyelid surgery?

The modern eyelid surgery always involves the restoring the beauty of the area around the eyes, not just removing fat or skin. So we age by also losing a lot of volume around the eyes. We lose volume in the forehead and the temples, around the eyelids, so we start seeing dark circles or hollowing around the eye. So when we do eyelid surgery, if we do not replace the areas that have lost fat with fat, the patient sometimes look operated and not rejuvenated. So we need to associate, in most cases, a little bit of fat grafting at least, to restore the normal youthful anatomy of the eye and then remove the excess skin and fat that is excessive. So that’s one of the number one combinations I do for eyelid surgery and eyelid rejuvenation.
