I cannot help but say that a lip lift is one of the most powerful procedure for lower face rejuvenation.
Even young patients can have hereditary long upper lips which hide the teeth and make them look older.
Lip fillers are so popular but they DO NOT treat well a long upper lip. I am tired of seeing beautiful patients with overfilled upper lips with loss of normal anatomic contour, proportions and shape. It is bizarre and my goal is to bring awareness that full lips are not necessarily sexy or pretty lips. Well shaped and proportional full lips with normal anatomy are sexy and pretty.
Lip lips have a longer downtime than lip fillers, but an overfilled lip with anatomical distortions can take months to be corrected with multiple sessions of Hyaluronidase, and will likely need a lip lift to fix overstretched upper lips. We love beautiful lips! Do not overfill them, shape them respecting normal anatomy! xoxo
