Case Details
This is a patient in her 50’s with previous breast augmentation somewhere else who desired to have her implants removed and no extra scars. We performed bilateral implant removal through her old scars and capsulectomy. Her breast skin tighten well after a few months and she has a nice natural breast size and shape. We also preformed an abdominoplasty at the same time.

This is a patient in her 40s with a history of previous saline breast augmentation at another center who desires to undergo breast implant exchange. When patients have saline implants, one strategy we can use in this case is to electively deflate the implants in the office with local anesthesia. It gives both the surgeon and the patient a good idea of what needs to be done next to get this size, shape, and appearance that the patient wants. Here we see her before and after implant deflation.

This is a patient in her 50s with a history of previous saline breast augmentation at another center who developed a capsular contracture of her right breast which caused it to be firm and mishappened. She underwent elective deflation during an office visit to help guide decisions concerning her upcoming surgery. Here we see her before and after implant deflation and then we planned only a breast lift without new implants.

Some patients with breast implants decide they no longer want to have implants. This patient of mine in her 60s who had implants for over 25 years decided it was time to remove the implants so she would enjoy having natural breasts again. I performed breast implant removal using the old fold incision and she had a rapid recovery. Here is her before and after showing her natural breast tissue 6 months after surgery.
