This is a patient in her 40s with a history of previous saline breast augmentation at another center who desires to undergo breast implant exchange. When patients have saline implants, one strategy we can use in this case is to electively deflate the implants in the office with local anesthesia. It gives both the surgeon and the patient a good idea of what needs to be done next to get this size, shape, and appearance that the patient wants. Here we see her before and after implant deflation.
