What is a transconjunctival blepharoplasty?

So what transconjunctival blepharoplasty, or also it is known as a scarless blepharoplasty, it’s a lower eyelid surgery where we use the inside of the eye, the pink part of the eye, to put the incision, and treat the eyelid bags. So we go from the inside of the eye in a very specific safe plane and remove the excess fatty deposits and then just close that little incision. So that gets rid permanently of the fat bag, the bags under the eyes, we call that fat pads, and the patients don’t see any scars. That’s a very common procedure for me to do when I do lower eyelid surgery. And I usually combine that with a little bit of fat grafting into the dark circles, into the hollowing around the eyes, and that gives a very natural result with basically no visible scars.
