This is a female patient in her late 50’s who wanted to improve the lip shape and proportions. She felt that her lips were too small for her face. The upper lip was too long and out of balance, so we did a combination of upper lip lift and a small amount of lip fillers to improve the lip proportions and shape. This was done awake in the office. She looks rejuvenated and her lower face more balanced.

This is a female patient in her late 70’s who wanted more lip fullness. Because she had a long upper lip we proposed a lip lift. We did an upper lip lift with fat grafting to the upper and lower lips to improve fullness and shape. This was done asleep because we combined with other procedures, so she could have a single downtime for her recovery.

A corner lift is necessary when the lips are wide in relationship to the nasal base and there is droopiness of the lip corners, not just the lip center.⁠

⁠Some patients come to me thinking that they need lip filler to “flip” the lips and make it look more beautiful.

However, a Long upper lip cannot be “flipped” by fillers and look natural, it needs a sub nasal lip lift and sometimes a corner lift too.

This is what I did for this lovely patient. The lip lift rejuvenated her lower face, made her lips look fuller and more proportional.

Be aware the lip fillers and “lip flips” with botulinum toxin is not for everyone!

This is a 59 yo patient who wanted a permanent improvement in lip shape and volume. The upper lip was long and the corners droopy, so I performed a modified bullhorn lip lift and a corner lift. These pictures show 8 months before and after results of the procedure. She also had skin care with lasers.
